Psychological Assessments

When Are Psychological Assessments Conducted?

Psychological assessments are performed:

  • when ordered by a psychiatrist to evaluate a person’s emotional and psychological state and to guide or adjust treatment;
  • when a person requests an assessment to gain a more objective, in-depth understanding of themselves, evaluate their abilities, or explore concerns that they may have a mental health condition.

At Romuva Clinic, we offer the following psychological assessments:

  • Attention and work capacity assessment — evaluation of core attention and memory processes, including concentration, attention span, psychomotor speed, and the ability to learn and retain new information.
  • Comprehensive memory assessment — detailed evaluation of different types of memory and related processes, including attention characteristics, short-term verbal and nonverbal memory, intentional and incidental learning, and episodic and semantic memory.
  • Thinking processes assessment — detailed evaluation of thinking processes, including thinking speed, productivity, associative processes, reasoning, and the ability to generalize.

  • Personality assessment — evaluation of personality traits, including a personality profile, likely strengths and challenges, and sources of stress and tension.
  • Mood assessment — evaluation of features commonly associated with mood disorders, including attention, work capacity, productivity, self-rated mood, and anxiety level.
  • Comprehensive assessment — combined evaluation of attention and work capacity, memory, thinking processes, and personality traits.
