ABOUT
To ignite, you must first burn with that feeling yourself. To make you cry, you must first let the tears flow yourself. To convince, you must first believe yourself. (Winston Churchill)
Hello! I am Ingrida Dinigevičienė, a psychologist-psychotherapist. I am persistent, creative, and I love what I do. Clients describe me as a warm, open, and nurturing specialist. My mission and role as a psychotherapist is to be there for you on the path of change.
Working together
Working together can last for several months or several or more years. Sessions are held weekly. The first ones are designed to get to know each other, introduce the problem, and discuss expectations and the therapeutic process. Subsequent ones are tailored to the situation and the psychotherapeutic goal. They can be more revealing (when awareness and stable positive changes are sought), reinforcing (when coping mechanisms are activated that help you use your own powers), and supportive (when you aim to minimize the impact of what you cannot change on your life).
Why therapy?
People who want to start therapy often don’t know where to start, how to explain why they came, and are afraid of not being understood. I would like to wish my future client the courage to come. You deserve the opportunity to feel better about yourself, to have solved what can be solved, or to have learned to adapt to what cannot be changed. Therapy helps to achieve all this.
TYPE OF WORK
When working with adults, I specialize in the following areas:
Mood swings or disorders characterized by long-term emotional imbalance, manifested as depression, mania or a mixed state.
Anxiety and stress-related states, which include various fears, phobias, panic attacks, obsessive thoughts and actions (OCD), constant worry without reason (GEN), as well as procrastination and perfectionism.
Non-organic sleep disorders.
Various types of pain and sensations of unclear origin, when there is no obvious disease, such as heart, chest pain, increased pulse, difficulty breathing, swallowing, increased blood pressure (BP), various stomach, intestinal disorders or other pains.
Personality disorders, when personality traits interfere with adaptation to the environment and cause stress.
Psychological and existential crises when experiencing loss, divorce, other difficult situations that make adaptation difficult.
Stress management techniques training (progressive muscle relaxation, attention-focusing techniques, breathing techniques, anxiety postponement methods, working with thoughts).
In my work, I combine psychodynamic, schema and cognitive therapy. This allows me to take a broader look at the problems my clients are facing and more flexibly apply methods that are appropriate to the situation.
I am also interested in neurophysiology, working with internal schemas and walking therapy.
