WORK EXPERIENCE
From 2014 to 2019 I worked as a psychiatrist in Norway
From 2006 to 2014 I worked as a psychiatrist and as a teaching assistant, later as a lecturer at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, Department of Psychiatry

 

STUDIES
From 2008 to 2012 I studied in the standardized sexual medicine program prepared by the European Society of Sexual Medicine (ESSM) and the Multidisciplinary Joint Committee on Sexual Medicine (MJCSM), and obtained the qualification of a sexual medicine doctor (FECSM), certified by the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS).
In 2012 I defended my dissertation thesis on the topic: “Relations between female sexual function in the postmenopausal period and symptoms of anxiety and depression and sex hormones” (Lithuanian University of Health Sciences). This doctoral project was awarded a prize at the Nordic Association of Andrologists (NAFA) conference in Tallinn (2010).
In 2006, I completed the psychiatric residency program at the Department of Psychiatry at Kaunas University of Medicine
In 1995-2002, I studied and obtained the qualification of a medical doctor at the Faculty of Medicine at Kaunas University of Medicine

WORK ISSUES
Diagnosis and complex treatment of various mental disorders
Gender dysphoria, diagnostics of female and male sexual function disorders (disorders of desire, arousal, orgasm, satisfaction, pain syndromes) and psychotherapeutic and/or pharmacological treatment of these disorders
Cognitive identification of sexual disorders in couples and search for the most optimal treatment strategies

PUBLISHMENTS AND MEMBERSHIPS
The direction of publications and reports is sexual norm and pathology, treatment of sexual disorders. Since 2004. published over 40 theses and publications in local and foreign publications, read about 40 reports at both Lithuanian and foreign professional events. One of the most important international projects is co-authorship in the development of the educational tool “The EFS and ESSM Syllabus of Clinical Sexology” (2013). Initiator and editor-in-chief of the scientific journal “Sexual Medicine” for specialists. Member of the European Society of Sexual Medicine from 2013 to 2017.
